2.1 Unpacking
Unpack the appliance and all accessory parts
and check that the contents are in perfect
condition and complete (fig. 2).
ATTENTION:
Always transport/send the appliance in its
original packaging

NOTE:
Immediately contact your dealer if you have
found damage resulting from transportation.
2.2 Assembly
1. Assemble the connecting tubes to form
the sweeper stick (fig. 3). The lower part of
the tube is recognisable by the stick
release button.
2. Insert the stick into the receiving end. It
snaps into place.
NOTE:
If you want to remove the stick again, press
the stick release button (fig. 3/magnified)
and pull the stick up and out.

2.3 Charging the battery
ATTENTION:
Only use the AC adapter supplied with the
appliance for charging the batteries. Using
other AC adapters may severely damage
the appliance or the batteries.
The battery must be charged before you can
work with the appliance. To do this:
1. Connect the AC adapter first to the brush
foot (fig. 4/1).
2. Then plug the AC adapter into the socket
(fig. /4). The charging indicator light (fig. 4/
3) lights up blue.
3. Leave the battery to charge for 20 hours at
its first charging. Later recharging will only
take 16 hours.
ATTENTION:
Avoid longer charging times. These shorten
the operating life of the battery.
4. After charging, pull the C adapter out of
the socket first and then out of the brush
foot.
NOTE:
Only recharge the battery again if it is
completely empty. This will extend its
operating life.
