8.) Continuity testing:
Bring the probe tips into contact with the conductor, fuse, etc. that is being tested. With resistances
of 0-2 kΩ the resistance reading appears on the display and an acoustic signal sounds. If the reading is
>2kΩ, the excess indicator "1" appears on the display.
9.) FI/RCD trigger test, PE (zero conductor test):
The Testboy® Profi er LCD is equipped with an automatic load, which permits the throughput testing of
FI/RCD-safety switches without triggering. The initial task is to carry out testing between L (phase conductor)
and N (zero conductor) (approx. 5s). With immediate connection, L can be tested against PE (earth/ground).
The network voltage is indicated. If this is not so, the FI/RCD safety switch is triggered (max. 30mA).
10.) Backlighting:
For operation in low-light conditions, the BL (backlight) sensor activates automatically to ensure that the
screen can be read even in total darkness.
11.) Battery replacement:
To replace the batteries, release the screw under the main casing and pull the battery compartment cover
downward to remove. Observe the correct polarity when inserting the new batteries.
Note: Batteries should not be disposed of as normal household waste. Take them to an approved collection
point.
