5. Check whether the temperature control is set to the OFF position and insert the
mains plug in the socket. The POWER light will illuminate.
6. Set the temperature control to the desired temperature (you can read information
on cooking temperatures and cooking times on the control panel). The temperature
light HEAT will illuminate.
7. Allow the device to warm up until the temperature control light HEAT has turned off.
8. Insert the handle on the frying basket. To do so, press the handle on the sides
together and insert the open ends into the bracket on the frying basket. When re-
leasing the handle, its catches will hook into the bracket. Ensure that the handle is
securely attached!
9. Fill the frying basket with foods.
10. Open the lid of the device.
11. Slowly place the frying basket in the container.
12. Take the handle off of the frying basket by squeezing the ends together and pulling
it out of the basket.
13. Close the lid.
14. Wait until your food has been cooked. You can view information on cooking tempera-
tures and cooking time on the control panel. If necessary, increase the cooking time
if your meals have not yet been cooked to completion after the specifi ed cooking
time has passed.
15. When your meals have been cooked to completion: Set the temperature control
to the OFF position. The temperature control light HEAT will turn off. Remove the
power plug from the socket. The POWER light will turn off.
16. Open the lid.
17. Attach the handle to the frying basket again.
18. Lift the frying basket up and allow it to drip off briefl y.
19. Remove the food.
20. Let the fat / oil cool off before you stow or clean the device.
Once the device has heated up, the temperature control light will illuminate
and turn off at regular intervals. This is not a malfunction, but simply indi-
cates that the device is heating up again or interrupting the heating process
in order to maintain a constant temperature inside the device.
You can reuse the fat or oil about 5 to 6 times as long as it is clear and
doesn't have an unpleasant odour. Please also take note of the expiry date.
Do not leave it in the deep fryer for longer than 2 weeks.
You can read information on cooking times and cooking temperatures on
the device's control panel. Please note that the specifi ed temperatures and
times are approximate values. This information may vary depending on the
quality and size of the food used and whether the food is raw or frozen. If
necessary, adjust the cooking times and temperatures.
When deep frying frozen foods, follow the manufacturer's specifi cations for
the cooking times and temperatures provided on the packaging.
