Do not place any combustible materials (e.g. cardboard, plastic, paper or candles)
on or in the device.
■
Food that is too large, metal foil packaging, or utensils may not be placed in the de-
vice as they may cause fi re or electric shocks.
Avoiding damage to materials, property and the device
■
Always set up the device with a clear space on all sides (at least 20 cm) and clear
space above it (at least 30 cm) on a dry, fl at, solid and heat-resistant surface.
■
Maintain adequate distance to heat sources such as stovetops or ovens in order to
prevent damages to the device.
■
Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present a trip hazard. The cable
must not hang down from the surface on which the device is placed in order to prevent
the device from being pulled down. Never pull on the mains cable to move the device.
■
Position the cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does
not come into contact with hot surfaces.
■
Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong temperature fl uctuations,
direct sunlight or moisture.
■
Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
■
Keep the device in a dry place at temperatures of between 0 and 40°C.
■
Use only the accessory parts supplied by the manufacturer.
■
Make sure that the frying basket has been correctly inserted in the device before
you turn it on.
■
Do not pull the frying basket out when operating the device. Always turn the device
off before you remove the frying basket from the device.
■
The device must not be moved during operation.
■
Do not overfi ll the frying basket so that the food does not touch the heating element
inside the device during use. Fill the frying basket no more than 2/3 full!
■
Do not leave the device on when empty or when unattended. Do not leave the device
unattended when the fat/oil is hot.
■
If you intend to take the frying basket out of the device, be absolutely sure to place it
on a heat-resistant surface such as a trivet.
Hygienic notes
■
The device may contain production residues. In order to avoid health hazards, clean the
inside of the housing and all accessories before initial use (see the „Before Initial Use"
and „Cleaning" chapters) and heat the device up for 15 minutes without any food in it.
■
Only use fats and oils, which are suitable for high temperatures, that is, for deep fry-
ing. Never use cold-pressed oils or butter. Observe the manufacturer's instructions
on the packaging.
■
Risk of food poisoning: Never store the cooking fat or oil longer than indicated by the
best before date.
■
Clean the device after every use and keep it clean to prevent the formation of germs.
