General instructions
1.1
Introduction
These operating instructions contain information on how to use
the transfer aid safely and properly.
Read the operating instructions thoroughly prior to the use of
the transfer aid and follow all instructions.
Keep all documents in a safe place.
1.2
Proper use
The transfer aid is used on a bathlift and utilised to rotate
persons with reduced mobility into bathing position.
In its version as transfer and rotating aid the transfer aid is
additionally used to transfer persons with a more reduced
mobility from the rim of the bathtub to the bathlift.
Any other form of use is not permitted.
Contraindications
No contraindications are known if the lifter is used properly.
1.3
Disposal
The transfer aid consists of recyclable materials (refer to
"Technical data" at the end of the operating instructions).
Old appliances and packaging must be disposed of and recy-
cled in accordance with the valid national regulations.
1.4
CE mark
The product complies with the medical products directive
93/42/EEC.
1.5
Reuse
The product is suitable for reuse. The amount of reuse de-
pends on the condition of the product in question.
Prior to reuse, follow the manufacturer's reconditioning and
hygiene guidelines, and check the technical and functional
safety of the product as well.
1.6
Service life
The product is designed for a service life of at least 3 years,
provided that it is used in accordance with its intended use and
that all cleaning and safety instructions are observed.
This service life can be exceeded if the product is carefully
handled, cared for, and used.

Do not overload the transfer aid (max. load: 140 kg).
Always put the weight on the centre of the rotary seat of the
transfer aid.
Check the transfer aid for functionality prior to every use. Do
not use a damaged transfer aid.
In case of severely reduced mobility, use the transfer aid with
the help of an assistant.

Description
The transfer aid is available in the following versions:
Transfer and rotating aid (Fig. 1A)
Rotating aid (Fig. 1B)
The transfer aid consists of a rotary seat (Fig. 1A/1B) with seat
cover (Fig. 5) and a base (Fig. 2A/2B). The rotary seat is
rotatably connected to the base. In the case of the transfer and
rotating aid, the rotary seat can be shifted, too.
The base has several moveable links which adapt to the bath-
lift such that the transfer aid does not tilt. Rubber pads on the
moveable links prevent the transfer aid from slipping.
3.1
Technical data
Refer to "Technical data" at the end of the operating instruc-
tions.
3.2
Label
The label (Fig. 4) is attached to the bottom side of the transfer
aid and contains the following information:
Sales or service address, conformity marking, manufacturer,
item number, type of transfer aid, maximum load, instruction
(observe operating instructions), period of production, serial
number

Use
CAUTION
Do not allow any oily or strongly soapy sub-
stances to get to the rubber pads. Otherwise, the transfer aid
may slip from the bathlift.
CAUTION
Do not reach underneath the rotary seat while
rotating. Finger can be crushed.
CAUTION
When using as transfer board, keep a still posi-
tion and avoid excessive body movements. Otherwise, there is
a risk of slipping.
4.1
Transfer and rotating aid
1. Raise bathlift to entry height.
2. Place transfer aid on seat section such that the rotary seat
in the end position is in the centre of the seat section
(1, Fig. 3A).
3. Push rotary seat towards the rim of the bathtub (2, Fig. 3A).
4. Sit down on the rotary seat.
5. With the rotary seat, move to the centre of the seat section
(3, Fig. 3A).
6. Lift legs and swivel into the bathtub (4, Fig. 3A).
7. Lower bathlift.
To get off: first, slide to the rim of the bathtub with the rotary
seat and, then, swivel legs out of the bathtub.
4.2
Rotating aid
1. Raise bathlift to entry height.
2. Place transfer aid in the centre of the seat section
(1, Fig. 3B).
3. Sit down on the rotary seat.
4. Lift legs and swivel into the bathtub (2, Fig. 3B).
5. Lower bathlift.

Maintenance and care
5.1
Maintenance
The transfer aid is maintenance-free.
5.2
Care
NOTICE
Do not use any scouring agent. Otherwise, the
plastic surfaces may be damaged.
You can clean the product with a dishwashing or laundry
detergent and lukewarm water. Care for the plastic pieces with
an of-the-shelf plastic cleaner.
The seat cover can be removed and washed at 40 °C in a
washing machine.
Use disinfectant if necessary, as well as in the event of appli-
cation for more than one person. Follow the disinfectant manu-
facturer's instructions.
Clean the product before disinfecting it.
5.3
Removing the seat cover
1. Remove plug in the centre of the rotary seat (1, Fig. 5).
2. Pull seat cover slightly back at the rim until you can remove
it (2, Fig. 5).
5.4
Attaching the seat cover
1. Place and align seat cover on the rotary seat.
2. Push edges of the seat cover into the recesses of the rotary
seat (3, Fig. 5).
3. Fasten seat cover with the plug.
