OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE

Storage
The solar panel, as well as your filtration unit, must not freeze. Frost would cause irreparable damage to the panel and other parts of the system. The guarantee provided with this product shall
not apply to any damage caused by frost.
Before the onset of winter season drain water from the panel and hose or tube system connecting it with the filtration unit and the pool. Dismantle the hoses connected to the panel outlets and
let the water flow out, moving the panel in a helix, if necessary.
After emptying it completely, dismount the panel and store it in a dry place protected from frost. In case you decide to leave the panel in place, all water shall be removed from the panel
and other system parts using a vacuum cleaner (for wet work).
Panel repairs
The water heating solar system for surface pools are covered by a guarantee of material and manufacturing defects. If the panel leaks for other purposes, it can be repaired by the following
procedure.
Repair procedure
The repair can be performed by the below given procedure, but it requires technical skills. The removal of the solar panel covers is simple, but re-installation requires an assistant.
Identify the leakage spot. Switch the filtration off and disconnect the panel. Pour the water out of the panel and leave it 24 hours in the sun to dry (inside as well). Use a soldering iron and
polypropylene melting bars to repair the spot. You have to heat the panel material as well as the melting bar. Work with the soldering iron carefully to prevent overheating of the material and
permanent damage of the panel.
You can use even special sealing putty (e.g. Terostat 9200 with a suitable cleaner). Use the putty and cleaner according to the work instructions.
Note: You can have the panel repaired through your vendor.

The manufacturer provides the guarantee for material and manufacturing defects. The conditions of guarantee are specified in Dealer' s Certificate of Guarantee. For any information or consultation

SOLAR HEATING ACCESSORIES
