Cleaning and Maintenance Work for the User
7.1
Recalibration
To guarantee consistent scan results, we recommend you calibrate
the scanner on a weekly basis using the supplied calibration plate.
The scanner should also be calibrated after transportation or if the
scanner is moved. Instructions for recalibrating your scanner can be
found in our PrograScan software manual.
7.2
Cleaning
DANGER! Accidentally switching on the scanner during cleaning.
Death or severe personal injury due to electric shock.
f Before cleaning, take the optical 3D scanner out of operation
and safeguard it from being started without authorization.
f Turn the scanner off using the switch on the rear panel to
eliminate any risk of injury caused by accidentally switching on
the scanner.
NOTICE! Scanner exposed to water, steam or cleaning agent.
Damage to the electronical parts of the scanner.
f Ensure that no water, steam or cleaning agents penetrate the
electrical scanner parts during cleaning.
NOTICE! Improper cleaning of the optical sensor. The optical sensor
located in the upper part of the scanner is is extremely sensitive.
Damage to the optical sensor.
f Do not clean the optical sensor system located in the upper part
of the scanner.
f Do not use harsh cleaning agents, as they can also damage the
scanner.
f Ensure that the scanner is only cleaned by people who are trained
and who have been informed of the scanner's potential dangers.
