RAY FS WP / RAY FS WS
Flow direction arrows on the housing and the measurement
insert must be aligned during installation!
Thoroughly flush out the pipes before installing the flow sensor.
If the water is soiled, fit the strainer in the pipe in front of the flow
sensor.
Install the flow sensor in a frost proof position at the lowest possible
point of the installation to avoid air accumulation.
Install the flow sensor in the approved mounting position.
The flow sensor must be fitted in the pipeline so that it is tension-free.
Tighten the fastening screws equally in a crosswise sequence.
The flange seals should not protrude into the pipeline.
Fill the pipeline slowly after installation, to avoid damages to the
measurement insert through pressure shocks.
The flow sensor must always be completely filled with water.
The flow sensor must be protected against pressure shocks in the
pipe.
The pressure of the pipeline and the medium temperature should not
be higher than the data on the type plate.
All components for the flow regulation (e.g. valves) should be
mounted behind the flow sensor.
Once the meter has been installed, the components (calculator, vol-
ume measuring component and both temperature sensors) must
be sealed and the meter taken into operation by an organisation
approved by the applicable regulations.
Check the display for a plausible indication of volume.

Calming Sections
RAY FS WP (MID):
According to approval, no calming section upstream and downstream
of the meter is necessary. However, we recommend a smooth pipe
section upstream and downstream of the meter. The length of this
pipe section should be at least three times the nominal diameter.
