Before each use check the rubber pad for possible functional reductions due to reduced
elasticity e.g. due to aging, wear and tear, improper maintenance or storage.
Replace damaged rubber pad or rubber pads with reduced holding power immediately.
The surface to be sucked and the rubber pads have to be clean, dry and grease-free.
On uneven, rough and porous surfaces the holding force is significantly reduced until the
complete loss of holding power.
Dirt can damage the ground, the rubber pads and in some cases even the pump
mechanism.
5. Sucking
■
Push the suction cup lifter firmly against the surface to be sucked. The rubber pads have
to be placed in a relaxed mode and lie flat.
■
Create the vacuum by flipping the rocker lever resp. by folding the 2-part handle. The
resistance produced by the vacuum must be clearly noticeable.
Simply place and press the suction cup lifter onto a planar, airtight surface, then flip the
lever – that's it.
6. Lifting, Carrying and Holding
Risk of injury!
■
The load must not exceed the specified load capacity.
■
Never move loads that are carried by the suction cup lifter over the head of people.
■
Avoid lateral pressure effects onto the suction pads when carrying a load
■
Make sure that the warning elements remain visible and are not blocked when carrying
a load.
■
In case of a fading vacuum the load has to be set on ground immediately and the suction
cup lifter must be placed again.
The suction cup lifter should only be used for short-term lifting, carrying or holding of
objects.
In case of longer installation times you must regularly check and ensure the firm grip of the
suction cup lifter. Always attach the suction cup lifter again to the surface when you are in
doubt about the holding power.
7. Release
Attention!
Never use sharp or sharp-edged objects (e.g. screwdrivers) to lift the suction pad as it
might get damaged and thus unusable.
■
Make sure that the load lifted resp. the object is well secured.
■
Release the rocker lever. The rubber pad returns to ist original flat position.
■
Take the suction cup lifter of the surface sucked. In case the rubber pad is "stuck", lift
the rubber pad on the side with one finger to let air get underneath. This "getting stuck"
sometimes happens especially with new rubber pads and does not impair the function.
8. Storage
Never place the suction cup with the rubber pad onto a sharp object. Always store the
suction cup lifter in relaxed position and in a dry place resp. the storage case.
