2. Never hoist over the rated percentage duty cycle. The life of the winch depends on the
conditions of the load and working frequency. In the long time operation, make sure to use
the machine within its continuous ratings. That means the working duty cycle(%ED) is
subject to the rated voltage, rated frequency and a 63% of rated load.
IV. Assembly advices before initiation
1. Be sure to carefully all safety and environmental conditions.
2. A minimum of five (5) wraps of wire rope wound around the drum is necessary
3. A wire rope should be discarded and not be used again if rope shows sign of excessive
wear too many broken wires, corrosions or other defects.
4. Make sure to connect the main power source and grounding.
5. It's not safe to lift loads exceeding the rated load.
6. Connect power source at rated voltage.
V. Mounting (Pict. 6 - Pict. 8)
1. The winch is designed to be hanged or mounted on a firm or stable bar or a bracket.
2. When hanging, do not allow the body or load to be caught by any construction of frame
or other obstruction.
3. Be sure to lock at the hanger for extra safety.
4. Follow the pictures under Nr. 6 + Nr. 7
5. Insert the power plug into the power receptacle of the winch and tighten it by turning the
locking ring clockwise. (Pict. Nr. 8)
6. Be sure to lock the cord by the holder. Do not allow the cords to be caught by wire rope
and drum.
7. The length of power cord is subject to the distance of 20 meter, for any other caese,
please use a power cable by 3,5 mm2 to prevent a considerable voltage drop to be
happened.
VI. Operation (Pict. 9)
1. To lift a load, press the "Up" button and to lower a load, press "Down" button.
2. Press the "emergency button" in case of need. After corrective maintenance, you can
rotate the "emergency button" back.
3. When the button is released, the drum will stop moving.
4. A special mechanism prevents an over-winding lifting. When the swivel hook touches the
limit lever, the lifting process stopped automatically. Please let enough distance between
the limit lever and the winch body (70-100 mm). (Pict. 15)
5. A special mechanism prevents an over reverse-winding when lowering. When lowering,
the wire rope is fully extended, the wire rope will be shifted its position from 0 to X. When
the wire rope touches the limit lever of over-winding prevention device, lowing will be
stopped automatically. Please bring 5 wire turns back on the drum. When the wire rope
shifted to the position of X, pull the rope and press "UP"-Button to return its position to 0.
(Pict. 16)
5. The load may only be lifted vertically upwards. Diagonal pull leads to uneven winding of
the rope which may cause damage to the rope and the device and is therefore prohibited.
(Pict. 17)
6. If the rope is to be fed around a pulley, this must remain at a minimum distance of 2 m
from the rope feed-off in order to ensure the even winding of the rope. (Pict. 17)
7. When unwinding the rope, 5 coils of rope must remain on the rope drum at all times.
VII. Maintenance and inspection
1. Rope Changing and the yearly inspection should be only done by PLANETA or an
authorized service station. (Pict.10+Pict. 11)
