7.4 TROUBLE SHOOTING

If a malfunction occurs, the digital display blinks and
displays error „E" followed by the error number.
FAULT:
a. Tensioning without tension release.
b. Tensioning with activated rocker lever.
c. Welding without welding release.
d. Welding with activated rocker lever.
ACTION:
a. Lift rocker lever.
b. Release rocker lever.
c. Tensioning before welding.
d. Release rocker lever.
FAULT:
a. Rocker lever was operated before the cooling-down
period had elapsed.
b. Rocker lever was activated during the welding process
(poor welding).
c. Tensioning time too long (longer than 10 s).
ACTION:
a. Operate the rocker lever only when the cooling-down
period has elapsed.
b. Repeat strapping.
c. Repeat tensioning.
FAULT:
Battery discharged.
CAUSE:
– The lowest charge limit of the battery has been
reached.
ACTION:
– Charge/replace the battery.
FAULT:
a. Battery too hot.
b. Current overload of battery
CAUSE:
a. Battery temperature above 60°C.
b. Mechanism jammed.
ACTION:
a. Let the battery cool down. Replace the battery.
b. Clean mechanism or remove foreign particles.
FAULT:
Excess current during welding.Tool may be blocked.
CAUSE:
– Foreign particles in area of welding unit.
ACTION:
– Remove foreign particles.
– Refer to chapter 6.3 or by Service Centre.
