9.3 Replacing the fine filter or active carbon filter
·
Turn off the tap.
·
Release the hose screws in the filter and unscrew the fittings (SW 16 spanner).
·
Remove the old sealing tape from the fittings. Wind approx three turns of Teflon tape (available in all DIY stores)
around the thread of the fitting in the opposite direction to the thread. Screw the fittings into the new filter. Please
note the general tips on fittings (see section 10).
·
Mount the filter in the same position and reconnect all hoses.
·
Turn on the tap and check that the system is watertight.
10 Please note these general tips on fittings and hose connections
·
Always screw in fittings where the thread has been wound in sealing tape slowly and straight.
·
Only insert the fittings far enough that the top-most 1-2 turns of the thread remain visible. DO NOT screw the fit-
tings in as far as they will go.
·
Do NOT unscrew fittings once they have been inserted.
·
Always cut off hoses evenly and insert the hose insert. Insert the hose into the fitting as far as it will go and tighten
the coupling ring by hand. Hold the fitting in place while doing so.
11 What should you do if... Troubleshooting
11.1 If the system leaks...
·
... between the fittings and the container: Carefully screw the fitting in a further half to single turn. If that does not
remedy the fault, you will have to reseal the fitting using Teflon tape. See also sections 9 and 10.
·
... between the hose and the fitting: Unscrew the coupling ring, extract the hose and check whether the hose end has
been cut off evenly and the hose insert is in place. Insert the hose into the fitting with the hose insert as far as it will
go (!) and tighten the coupling ring by hand. If the hose connection still leaks, carefully tighten the coupling ring
slightly using a SW 16 spanner. It is vital that you hold the fitting in place while doing so.
·
... at the membrane container lid: Release the hose connector and unscrew the lid. Check whether the O-ring is pro-
perly in place or is cracked and if necessary install a new O-ring. Grease the O-ring lightly with Vaseline and tightly
replace the container lid. Reconnect the hose.
11.2 If the output is not right
Fault
Cause
Little osmosis water
Fine filter is blocked
and little residual water
Hoses are bent
Water pressure in the house water mains is too low
Little osmosis water but The membrane is blocked
lots of residual water
Tap water is very cold (winter)
Lots of osmosis water
Flow restrictor is blocked or the
but little residual water residual water hose is blocked
18
Remedy
Check fine filter and replace if
necessary (see section 9)
Replace hoses
Check water pressure and if necessary
the pressure (at least 3 bar)
Rinse membrane for 15 minutes (see section
7), replace if necessary take measures to increase

14 Guarantee conditions

Guarantee period for the osmosis system: 36 months
Guarantee period for the membrane (wearing part): 6 months
Defective parts will be replaced or repaired free of charge during the guarantee period, on condition that the equipment is
used in the proper manner for the intended purpose and the guarantee card and receipt of purchase are sent to DENNERLE.
Wearing parts (fine filter, active carbon filter, etc.) cannot be exchanged.
Further claims in excess of the value of the device, in particular, for example, damage to fish or plants, cannot be accep-
ted. DENNERLE shall not accept any liability whatsoever for any losses resulting from improper assembly or use of the
system. Delivery costs shall be charged to the buyer.
130 l /day at a water temperature of 25 °C and a pressure of 4 bar
70 – 120 l /day at a water temperature of 10-15 °C and a pres-
sure of 3-6 bar. Higher temperatures (up to 25 °C) and higher
pressure (up to 6 bar) result in higher values and vice versa.
