2 - ACCIDENT PREVENTION WARNINGS
•
Protection or safety devices can be deactivated solely for the purposes of major servicing, and only by a maintenance
technician, who will take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of operators and avoid any damage to the machine,
and will also reinstate the devices once the servicing operations have been completed.
•
Any maintenance operations not covered on the pages of this publication must be entrusted to a service centre authorized
by the manufacturer.
•
After servicing or repair operations have been completed, the machine should be restarted only when given the all-clear by
a maintenance technician, who must make certain that:
- no one is operating on the machine;
- all parts of the work have been completed;
- the machine is working as it should;
- all safety systems are active.

3.1 Identification of product

3.2 Description of product
The petrol-engined Shaker is a machine designed principally for harvesting olives, but can also be used for harvesting pista-
chio nuts, almonds, coffee and fruit for preserves.
The motion of the hook (22) is induced by a 2-stroke internal combustion engine (3) coupled to a bevel gear drive. The Shaker
incorporates a mechanism that notably reduces the vibrations felt by the operator, though without affecting its functional effi-
ciency in any way.
WARNING!
The machine is designed exclusively for the purpose of shaking branches. It must not be utilized for snapping branches
intentionally.

3.4 Intended use
The machine is designed as a harvesting aid, for use in the manner and within the limits mentioned above.

Any other kind of use is regarded as improper, and therefore a potential threat to the safety of operators. Improper
use will also invalidate the warranty.

Using the machine for purposes other than those specified above can result in damage to persons or property, and
seriously damage the machine itself.
