Leviton warrants to the original consumer purchaser and
not for the benefit of anyone else that this product at the
time of its sale by Leviton is free of defects in materials
and workmanship under normal and proper use for two
years from the purchase date. Leviton's only obligation
is to correct such defects by repair or replacement, at its

This warranty is void if this product is installed improperly or
in an improper environment, overloaded, misused, opened,
abused, or altered in any manner, or is not used under normal

of any kind, including merchantability and fitness for a
particular purpose, but if any implied warranty is required
by the applicable jurisdiction, the duration of any such
implied warranty, including merchantability and fitness for
a particular purpose, is limited to two years. Leviton is not

damages, including without limitation, damage to, or

TO BE INSTALLED AND/OR USED IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPROPRIATE ELECTRICAL CODES
AND REGULATIONS.
WARNING: IF YOU ARE NOT SURE ABOUT ANY PART OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS, CONSULT AN ELECTRICIAN.
NOTE: For use in wet locations with cover closed when installed in strict compliance with the following instructions. If cover is to
be installed on other than a smooth surface, simply apply a 1/4" (or wider) strip of a UL recognized or RTV type, non-hardening
elastic caulking compound (silicon, urethane, polyurethane, or neoprene) around the rim of the gasket before installing, making
sure to fill all gaps. The Cover Plate mounts to an FS/FD type box (not included) (Figure 1), or may be panel
mounted (Figure 2).
TO INSTALL:
1. WARNING: TO AVOID FIRE, SHOCK, OR DEATH; TURN OFF POWER AT CIRCUIT BREAKER OR FUSE AND TEST
THAT POWER IS OFF BEFORE WIRING!
2. Install receptacle into wall box or panel per manufacturer's instructions (not included).
3. Align the gasket to the back of the cover plate.
4. Mount the cover plate and gasket on top of the FD/FS box or panel using screws provided. Hinge should be facing up (refer to
Figure 1). NOTE: Make sure the gasket is visible around the edge of cover to ensure proper seal. Torque screws to 8 in.-lb.
DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN SCREWS.
5. Restore power at circuit breaker or fuse. INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE.

REMARQUE : Ce dispositif est concu pour étre installé de façon strictement conforme aux présentes directives et utilisé,
couvercle fermé, dans des endroits mouillés à défaut de l'nstaller sur une surface parfaitement lisse, on doit appliquer une lisière
d'environ 1/2 cm (1/4 po) de mastic de calfeutrage non durcissable, reconnu par UL et résistant aux variations de température (a
base de silicone, d'uréthane, de polyuréthane ou de néoprène) sur le contour du joint avant de fixer le couvercle, en s'assurant
de ne laisser aucun jour entre la surface d'installation et le dispositif.
PROCÉDURE D'INSTALLATION :
AVERTISSEMENT :
1. POUR ÉVITER LES RISQUES D'INCENDIE, DE CHOC ÉLECTRIQUE OU D'ÉLECTROCUTION,
COUPER LE COURANT AU FUSIBLE OU AU DISJONCTEUR ET S'ASSURER QUE LE CIRCUIT SOIT BIEN COUPÉ
AVANT DE PROCÉDER À L'INSTALLATION.
2. Installer la prise dans la boîte murale ou le panneau conformément aux directives du fabricant (non comprises).
3. Aligner le joint d'étanchéité à l'arrière du couvercle.
4. Fixer le couvercle et le joint à la boîte ou au panneau au moyen des vis fournies. La charnière devrait être vers le haut
REMARQUE :
(figure 1). pour assurer l'étanchéité de l'installation, confirmer que le joint soit visible sur le pourtour du
couvercle. Serrer les vis en appliquant un couple de 8 po-lb. NE PAS TROP SERRER.
5. Rétablir l'alimentation au fusible ou au disjoncteur. L'INSTALLATION EST TERMINÉE.

NOTA: Se puede usar en lugares mojados con la cubierta cerrada cumpliendo estrictamente con las siguientes instrucciones.
Si la cubierta se va a instalar en un lugar donde la superficie no es lisa antes de instalar, aplique alrededor del borde de la
empaquetadura una tira de 1 cm (o mas ancha) de un componente elástico que no se endurece, reconocido por UL o tipo RTV
(silicona, uretano, poliuretano o neopreno), para rellenar todos los espaciones vacios.

2. Instale el receptáculo en la caja de pared o panel de acuerdo a las instrucciones del fabricante (no incluidas).
3. Alinee la empaquetadura en la parte de atrás de la cubierta de la placa.
4. Monte la placa de la cubierta y la empaquetadura en la parte superior de la caja FD/FS o panel usando los tornillos
proveídos. La bisagra debe estar hacia arriba (vea. Fig. 1). NOTA: Asegúrese que la empaquetadura este visible al borde de
la cubierta para asegurar un cierre hermético. Enrosque los tornillos 8 in.-lb. NO SOBREAPRIETE LOS TORNILLOS.
5. Restablezca la corriente con el interruptor de circuito o fusible. LA INSTALACION ESTA COMPLETA.
