Safety Instructions
The CE-label is no excuse for negligent handling of the equipment. Avoid dangerous
areas of motors, propellers, gears and rotor blades. Always consider electric systems as
potentially dangerous. Always remove the battery if you intend to work on the system.
Avoid moisture and high humidity. The product is not protected against reverse polarity.
Reversing polarity or cables can entail irreparable damages. Plugs and sockets must
always fi t perfectly. Improvising will increase potential of damage. Pay attention to com-
ponents supplied with power, especially the gyro. A higher current load than designated
can damage the power supply (battery) and other equipment connected to it. Never
disconnect an electrical component from the battery as long as it is operating.
Operating Instructions
The transmitter must always be switched on fi rst and subsequently the receiver. Make
sure that the throttle stick is in idle position (towards you). In any case verify that you are
the only user of the selected channel and nobody else is using it. Pay attention to the
CE-labels of other components. Outfi t motors with at least 2 noise suppressing ceramic
capacitors 10 - 100 nF/63 - 100 V and optional with further noise suppressing means (fi l-
ters, chokes). Route the receiver antenna at least 1" away from the motor, battery, speed
controller and their cables. Install the receiver as far away as possible from the motor,
battery and speed controller. Keep cables as short as possible. Motor and battery cables
should be twisted. When storing your model, remove the batteries and store them at a
dry place with normal air humidity. Should the system act erratically, disconnect the fl ight
battery from the system and reconnect it again after a waiting period of 5 - 10 s.
Warranty Terms
We warrant the IKARUS product within the European Union for a period of 24 months.
We warrant the IKARUS product in North America for a period of 3 months. For further

Your sales receipt is evidence of the start and fi nish of the warranty period. Any repairs
do not extend the warranty period. If any functional, manufacturing or material defects
become evident during the warranty period we will rectify them. Further claims, e.g.
subsequent damage or loss are strictly excluded. Please, send repairs to the address
listed below. There will be a 20.00 € / 21.00 US$ service charge (plus return shipping
charges) for repair items, which turn out to be in perfect condition. Postage must be paid
for; the return shipping will also be paid for. Shipments arriving postage collect will not be
accepted. We do not accept any liability for damage or loss during inbound transport.
