Set the lever so that it cannot touch the workpie-
ce whilst you are sawing.
6.7 Using the laser (19)
The laser enables you to make precision cuts
with your jigsaw.
The laser light is generated by a laser diode
powered by two batteries. The laser light is enlar-
ged to form a line and is emitted through the
laser emission aperture. You can then use the
line as an optical marker for the sawing line for
precision cuts. Follow the laser safety instruc-
tions.
Inserting the batteries: Set the Laser switch to
the Off position. Remove the battery compart-
ment cover. Fit the two supplied batteries, ensu-
ring that you fit them the right way round. Fit the
battery compartment cover again.
Adjusting the laser: Set the Laser switch to the
On position. A red laser beam will now be projec-
ted from the laser emission aperture. If you guide
the laser beam along the sawing line mark as
you saw, you will produce clean, precise cuts.
Switching off the laser: Set the Laser switch to
the Off position. The laser beam will go out.
Always switch off the laser when it is not needed
to save the batteries and to prevent the inadver-
tent spreading of laser radiation.
The laser beam can be blocked by deposits of
dust and chips. You should therefore remove
these particles from the laser emission aperture
before you use the laser.
Notes on batteries: If you do not intend to use the
laser for a lengthy period of time, remove the bat-
teries from the battery compartment. Any leakage
of battery fluid might damage the tool.
Do not place the batteries on heaters or expose
them to direct sunshine for long periods; tempe-
ratures in excess of 50°C may damage the tool.

Laser safety instructions
Switch off the marking laser at every opportunity, par-
ticularly if it is not in use, before maintenance and
when you change tools (for example when changing
the saw blade). The laser cannot be repaired, and it
must not be modified in any way.
Important! Laser class 2 – laser radiation, do not
look into the beam.
Laser radiation is released if the unit has been
opened and is then not closed correctly. Avoid all
direct contact with the beam.
6.8 Battery disposal
!
iNTERNATiONALES SERViCE CENTER GmbH
Batteries and cordless electric machines and tools
contain materials that are potentially harmful to the envi-
ronment. Never place any cordless electric machines or
tools in your household refuse. When cordless electric
machines or tools become defective or worn, remove the
batteries and return them to iSC GmbH (address:
Eschenstrasse 6, D-94405, Germany). If the batteries
cannot be removed, return the complete cordless machi-
ne or tool. You can then be sure that the equipment will
be correctly disposed of by the manufacturer.
6.9 Troubleshooting
Saw does not work:
-> Check power supply.
Unclean cuts
-> Check the condition of the saw blade and
guide roller. Replace worn saw blades immedia-
tely.
-> Check whether the adjustment angle to the
standard position of 90° (angle setting of saw foot
to saw blade) has been reset.
If the problem cannot be solved by the above,
take the tool to an authorized after sales service
outlet for repair.
