❐ Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present a trip hazard. Do not
allow the cable to hang over the edge of tables or kitchen counters. Others may be-
come caught and pull the device down.
❐ Make sure that your working area is always well lit when using the device.
❐ Never attempt to insert the blade attachment into the motor unit without the shaker!
For Your Health
❐ There may still be some production residues on the device. To avoid harmful effects
to your health, clean it thoroughly before you fi rst use it (see the "Cleaning and Stor-
age" chapter).
❐ After every use, thoroughly clean the accessories immediately with warm water and a
little mild detergent to prevent the formation of germs. Do not allow any food residues
to dry on.
❐ Fruit juice contains lots of fructose (fruit sugar). Diabetics should make sure they only
enjoy the juice which is produced in moderation.
❐ It is essential that you store any prepared food in the fridge. Do not eat any food that
has gone off and only use fresh ingredients that have not yet passed the best-before
date.
❐ Only use fresh and, if possible, untreated food. Make sure that the food is not mouldy
or rotten.
❐ Make sure you store chopped-up food in the fridge and do not keep it for more than
3 days.
Danger of Electric Shock and Fire
❐ Do not use the device if highly fl ammable gases are present in the air.
❐ Only connect the device to a socket that is properly installed and matches the techni-
cal data of the device (see the "Technical Data" chapter).
❐ Position the cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does
not come into contact with hot surfaces.
❐ Remove the mains plug from the mains socket:
– before you attach / detach the shaker,
– when the device is not in use,
– before a thunderstorm or
– before you clean the device.
❐ When you want to remove the mains plug from the socket, always pull the plug and
never the cable.
❐ Never immerse the motor unit in water or other liquids! Ensure that the motor unit,
cable or plug do not fall into water or become wet.
❐ Should the motor unit fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately.
❐ Never touch the motor unit, the cable or the plug with wet hands.
❐ Never cover the device with cloths or similar objects. There is a danger of overheat-
ing!
❐ Maintain a suffi cient distance from sources of heat, such as hobs or ovens.
