5. What to do if the carbon monoxide (CO) alarm goes off

WARNING! In the event of an alarm:
• Turn off all heat sources (gas valve or GPL tank, heater, etc.)
• Open doors and windows to ventilate the area
If the alarm stops it is necessary to find what caused it to go off
and act accordingly.
If the alarm continues and the source of the carbon monoxide
(CO) is not found or eliminated, leave the area and once outside
notify maintenance technicians from the gas distribution service or
notify the emergency service.

6. Warnings
• Do not tamper with or open the device: danger of electrocution
or malfunction
• Clean the device with a damp cloth only. Do not obstruct the
ventilation grill
• Do not expose the device to:
- spray
- lighter fluid
- fumes from solvents
- fumes from perfumes, bleach, ammonia etc.
- fumes from glue, paint, silicone
- gas different from that prescribed
- direct fumes from cooking
- etc.
• CO is a colourless, odorless, non-irritating toxic gas and is
quickly absorbed through the lungs. This device is designed
to protect users from acute carbon monoxide (CO) intoxica-
tion. It does not fully protect people with particular health
conditions. If in doubt contact a physician.
