- Connect the black test lead (-) to the COM jack and the red test lead (+)
to the VΩHz jack.
- Select the correct function and press the SELECT key to chose between
diode test and continuity test.
- When continuity testing, connect the test leads to two points of the cir-
cuit, the built-in buzzer will sound if resistance between the testing
points is smaller than (30±20)Ω.
- If the diode testing mode is selected, the red and black test lead need to
be connected respectively to the anode and the cathode. The display will
give an approximation of the positive volt drop (in V). If the test leads are
connected in the opposite way, the display will give 'OL' (overload). If the
result is different from described above, the diode is broken.
4.8. Temperature (°C/°F)
- Connect the black plug of the thermocouple to the mA jack and the red
plug to the VΩHz jack.
- Select the function '°C/°F' using the function and range switch and place
the thermocouple on the surface of or in the object that you want to know
the temperature of.
- The LCD will display the temperature in °C.
- Press the SELECT key to switch to °F.
- When measuring the temperature of an open circuit, the meter will dis-
play the normal temperature.
- Please do not input any voltage when measuring temperature.
