Chapter 2. Programming and configuring
2.1 SSAV 0269 configuration
2.1.1. Output channel
Use the + / - keys on the modulator in order to change the output channel. The channel will be displayed on the Led
display.
2.1.2. Modulator settings menu
This menu is protected. In order to access this menu, press + / - buttons simultaneously during 3 seconds.
Once inside this menu, – button allows to access to different parameters and the + button allows to change the of each
parameter:
1. TV Standard: select the TV standard between: PAL B/G/H (b5), PAL D/K (d6), PAL I South Africa (i6), PAL BB
Australia (A5), SECAM L-France (L6), NTSC M-Japan (J4) and NTSC N-USA (U4). The modulator will be set to
first channel of selected TV standard. See tables 1 – 10 for more information of channels.
2. Test patern generator: this option switches between ON (ts) and OFF (n0) the test patern generator. It is
recommended to switch off the test patern generator.
3. Fine adjustment of video carrier frequency: this option allows to move the frequency of video carrier in 0,25 MHz
steps. See table 11.
4. A/V ratio: you can switch between12 dB and 16 dB the Audio/Video ratio value.
5. Output signal activation: it activates (on) or deactivates (oF) the RF signal out of modulator.
To get off of this menu, press again + / - buttons simultaneously during 3 seconds.
2.1.3. RF output level
You can change this parameter with the "RF Level" regulator (0 – 15dB). Use the plastic screwdriver provided on the
inside of the cover of modulator.
2.1.4. Audio subcarrier deviation
You can change this parameter with the "Audio Deviation" regulator (±50 KHz). Use the plastic screwdriver provided on
the inside of the cover of modulator.
