8. Troubleshooting

Fault
No air and no sand.
Only air and no / little sand.
Device blasts permanently.
Lamp does not light up.
Compressed air escapes from
the foot switch
Foot switch does not switch on.
The foot switch hoses can no
longer be removed from the
device.
Cause
• Blasting jet on handpiece
clogged.
• The connection hoses of the
foot switch are kinked.
• Set tank selector switch to
intermediate position.
• The dosing jet of the mixing
chamber is clogged by
contaminated or moist blasting
sand.
• Filter combination of the mixing
chamber is clogged.
• Blasting agent not clean or
moist.
• Foot switch connected
incorrectly.
• Valve in foot switch faulty.
• Mains cable not connected.
• Lighting faulty.
• Pneumatic hoses connected
incorrectly.
• No pressure on the compressed
air connection.
• Pneumatic hoses are kinked.
• Push-in connection has not
been unlocked (Fig. 2).
Troubleshooting
• Unscrew jet from handpiece and
blow out.
• Purge the blasting hose without
the jet by activating the foot
switch.
• Check and correct the
connection hoses.
• Continue to turn switch until it
engages noticeably.
• Clean dosing jet, see 7.4.
• Replace filter cartridge
(17, Fig. 1)
(open-ended wrench SW 14).
• Replace blasting agent.
• Check and correct connection of
foot switch.
• Replace foot switch.
• Connect mains cable.
• Have lighting replaced by

• Change connections.
• Check compressed air lines and
compressor.
• Realign the hoses.
• Press firmly against the ring of
the push-in connection on the
hose side and pull the hoses
with force.
