13. Disposal
This product was developed and built using materials and processes that take environmental
issues into consideration.
Refer to the following notes for disposal of the product at the end of its
useful life or in the event of replacement:
• For disposal purposes this product is classified as an electric or electronic device: do not
dispose of it with domestic waste, particularly the circuit board.
• Comply with all the prevailing local laws.
• Do the utmost to facilitate reuse of the base materials in order to minimise the impact on
the environment.
• Use local depots and waste recycling companies or refer to the supplier or manufacturer to
return used products or to obtain further information on the environmental compatibility
and disposal of waste.
The packaging of the LX-GSM-01 can be reused. Keep it for any future use or in the event that
the product is returned to the supplier.
14. Warnings
• Installation, programming and placement in operation is permitted only for certified oper-
ators. These operators must be individuals who are physically and intellectually suitable.
Placement in operation must be carried out only after correct installation, therefore the
user must carefully carry out all the operations described in the included manual.
• EDILKAMIN will not be held responsible for problems, breakages, accidents etc. caused
by an ignorance of, or failure to apply, the indicated instructions. The same is true for any
unauthorised modifications.
• EDILKAMIN reserves the right to modify the product for any construction or commercial
needs without the obligation of promptly updating the reference manuals.
• The LX-GSM-01 uses the GSM standard for cellular mobile telephones. It can therefore not
be used in areas outside of the coverage area of the system itself.
• Because the GSM system is radio frequency technology (RF), there may be interference
in the presence of other telephone devices or problems with the operation of electronic
devices which are insufficiently protected from radio frequency energy.
• Do not install and do not use the product near electrical-medical equipment without verify-
ing that this is permitted.
• During operation the product may cause disturbances to transceiver equipment such as
televisions, radios, PCs, etc. Reposition the product until these disturbances disappear.
• Hearing aid devices or pacemakers or other personal medical devices may suffer interfer-
ence during operation of the equipment. Please consult your doctor for further information.
• The device must not be tampered with. Only replacement of the SIM card is permitted.
Any other modification will cause the warranty to become null and void. If necessary see an
authorised service centre.
• The device must not be used near fuel distributors or where there is a danger of explosion.
Neither may it be used in locations where chemical agents in general are handled, taking
particular care regarding the safety standards for environments which are saturated (or
potentially saturated) with gas or volatile fumes.
• In any case the product conforms to the safety standards on exposure to radio frequency
energy.
