General notes
The indoor and outdoor units are mounted at their relevant assembly
point using screws. It may be necessary to drill holes for this purpose.
Please ensure that no wiring is drilled in this process (neither signalling
line nor 230V power lines).
OUTDOOR UNIT
Installation (fig. 2)
The following wiring is required:
4 wires from the outdoor unit to the indoor unit and 2 wires from the
PVD-4410_I-Manual_Fin5.indd 6
outdoor unit to the door opener.
Power socket near the indoor unit. Also see fig. 5.
The camera should be installed at a height of approximately 1.5m-1.6m
(middle of the camera) with the mounting height adjusted to the local
conditions.
1. Look for a suitable location for the assembly of the outdoor unit
and lay the wires to that point. The wire should emerge from the
wall behind the outdoor unit.
2. Remove the screw (22) from the outdoor unit and remove the
retaining bracket (23).
3. You can use the retaining bracket as an aid to mark the drilling
positions. Hold the retaining bracket straight at the mounting point
and then mark the holes with a suitable marker.
4. Drill the holes with a 6mm drill bit (see section 'general notes')
5. Place a 6mm dowel in each mounting hole and screw the retaining
bracket on securely. The wire should be fed through the middle
hole in the retaining bracket.
6. Connect the wires with the outdoor unit.
7. Hang the outdoor unit on the retainer bracket and secure it with
the screw (22).
Adjusting name field and light field (figure 3)
The cover on the name field is only clicked into place and can be
removed from the front. Insert a slotted screwdriver under the side of
the name field and lift it carefully.
Connecting a door opener (figure 5)
The door opener is connected directly to the outdoor unit with two
wires. No additional power supply is necessary to control the door
opener. The door opener must be designed for 12 V DC voltages and
may not require more than 1A of power.
INDOOR UNIT
INSTALLATION
1. Look for a suitable location to mount the indoor unit(s) and lay the
wires to this point. The wire should emerge from the wall behind
the indoor unit. It should be noted that the retaining bracket (13)
is mounted above or beneath the wire exit so that the indoor unit
covers the wires.
2. Remove the retaining bracket from the indoor unit by pushing it
downwards.
6. Connect the wires with the indoor unit.
7. The indoor slides into place on the retaining bracket with a
noticeable click.
