1.Place the appliance on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface; keep inflammable items away from the
appliance.
2.Smear a little of butter or cooking oil on the grill plate. This makes it easier to turn the food over.
3.Plug the thermostat into the thermostat socket.
4.Put the plug into an earthed wall socket.
5.Adjust the thermostat dial to your desired setting, the temperature light illuminates.
6.Wait for several minutes until the temperature light has extinguished. The grill plate has now reached
the required temperature. It is ready for use.
7.Use the spatula to turn the food over during frying and grilling.
8.You can choose to cook with the glass lid opened or closed.
TIP:
- Small pieces will cook better – and more quickly – than large pieces.
- The food shouldn't be frozen before grilling.
- Make sure you use the drip tray when cooking.
- Hot steam escapes when you remove the glass lid. Take care!
- During use the temperature light will switch on and off to show that the thermostat is adjusting the
temperature. This is normal.
THERMOSTAT
The thermostat can be used to adjust the temperature of the grill plate.
The numbers on the thermostat switch have the following meaning:
Setting 1: thermostat switched on
Setting 2: keeping warm
Setting 3: grilling at low temperature (for fish etc.)
Setting 4: grilling at medium temperature (for chicken etc.)
Setting 5: grilling at maximum temperature
