Instruction Manual
Laminating
Only use special films designed specifically for laminating.
Test laminate scrap sheets and set the machine before
final laminating. Remove staples and other metal articles
prior to laminating.
Heat-sensitive documents (eg: tickets, ultrasounds etc)
cannot be laminated on hot settings. Don't laminate an
empty pouch.
1. Turn the machine on by setting the power switch A to
the "I" position. The blue power indicator light B and the
green mode indicator light (cold) C are lighting up.
2. If the machine is not in use, set the power switch A to
the "0" position and the power indicator (blue light) B is
off.
3. Use the selector button D to select the desired pouch
type.
COLD laminating:
The green indicator light C for COLD laminating lights up
as soon as the power switch A is set to the "I" position.
The machine is ready for cold laminating.
Hint: For cold laminating special laminating pouches
have to be used, which are not part of the included
starter pack.
HOT laminating:
80mic pouches: Press the selector button D and select
"80mic", and the "80mic" indicator light C starts to
flash green. At this time, the machine enters the warm-
up cycle. As soon as the indicator light C "80mic" glows
permanently the machine is ready and laminating of
80mic pouches can begin.
125mic pouches: Press the selector button D and select
"125mic", and the "125mic" indicator light C starts to
flash green. At this time, the machine enters the warm-
up cycle. As soon as the indicator light "125mic" C
glows permanently the machine is ready and laminating
of 125mic pouches can begin.
Note:
To switch from 125mic to 80mic or to COLD laminating
press the selector button D to choose the desired
laminating method. The desired mode indicator C will
start to flash. It will take several minutes to cool down
the device. Laminating of the desired pouch type may
only start if the respective indicator light C glows
permanently. Otherwise the laminated document could
be damaged which may also lead to damage to the
machine itself.
4. Lay the document to be laminated into a laminating
pouch of the appropriate size. Make sure that all corners
of the document have at least two millimeters of space
from the edge of the laminating pouch.
5. Now lay the laminating pouch, sealed side first on the
pouch tray H. Adapt the pouch positioning aid I to
the pouch size used and push the pouch slowly into the
pouch input slot E. Guide the pouch into the laminator
until it is gripped and pulled in by the rollers
6. The completed laminated pouch is ejected from the
pouch ejector slot F. Make sure there is enough free
space in front of the device to let the pouch exit without
obstruction. Allow the laminated pouch to cool down for
at least one minute before touching it.
Jammed pouches
In case the pouch may be pulled in at an angle or jam
itself inside the device please proceed as follows.
1. Press the anti-blocking switch G and the transport of
the pouch will be stopped.
2. The laminate pouch is not pulled in any further.
3. Remove the laminating pouch by hand
4. Re-start the laminating process.
