Installation Instructions – MPB, MPN, MPW
INSTALLATION
This lighting fixture has been shipped complete for post
mount (3" Tenon). Please follow the installation instructions
specific to the catalog part that you ordered.

ote:
Refractor is factory set with street side towards the
access door.
Tools required
Torque wrench, flat head screwdriver, socket for 3/8" square
head bolt and wrench or pliers.
Post Mount Single Luminaire Installation
1.
Remove access door by turning the captive quarter turn
screw counterclockwise to disengage lock. (Figure 1)
2.
Pull service leads through luminaire base and out
through access door opening.
3.
Place luminaire on pole and rotate until "STREET
SIDE" is oriented toward the street or desired position.
Tighten three square head bolts to 140-160 in-lbs.

For easy access to terminal block temporarily remove
photo control bracket. Bracket may be removed by
loosening two #8 hex head screws and lifting bracket
away from power tray. (Figure 2)

Connect service leads to terminal block. For three-
terminal block (3-wire service, 1 line, 1 neutral, 1
ground):
Connect line service lead to terminal that is

connected to black factory installed wire.
Connect neutral service wire to terminal that is

connected white factory installed wire.
Connect ground service wire to terminal that is
●
●
connected to green factory installed wire.

After connecting service leads insert and twist to lock
photocell (if used) to photo control receptacle. Reinsert
photo control bracket to electrical bracket and tighten
screws.

If photocell is being used, insert photocell prongs and
rotate to extreme clockwise. To orient control, rotate
until photocell is facing the window in the access door.

ote:
Photocell receptacle is a friction rotatable connector
which allows adjustment without the use of tools.
[Caution: Photo control receptacle has a built-in stop
which permits 350º of rotation. Do not rotate beyond its
limit.]

Once connections are completed and bracket installed,
carefully push all excess wires down into the tenon.
Replace access door and secure with quarter turn
screw.
9.
To complete construction, install hood. (Figure 3.) Place
hinge on hood vertically onto pin on top of the fixture
and ensure fit and free rotation. For MPB and MPN
fixture, attach retaining wire to screw and tighten.

10. Lock hood to fixture via over center latch (MPW) or
spring latch (MPB/MPN)
Optional House Side Shield Installation
MPB/MPN:
1.
Unlock hood from fixture via spring latch.
2.
Loosen screw from retaining wire then remove hood
and set aside.
3.
Unscrew six #10-24 screws holding the cover plate.
