switch. The indicator lamp shows green.
∙ Always ensure that the dust container is
emptied in good time, before the dust or
liquid matter collected reaches the level of
the inner suction tube (see max marking).
∙ If the battery loses power during
operation, the green indicator lamp starts
fl ashing and the appliance switches off
after a while; this is to prevent excessive
discharge of the battery pack. In this
case, the battery pack needs recharging.
Always ensure that the appliance is
switched off before putting it in the
charging station.
Cleaning and care
General
∙ Before cleaning the appliance, remove
the vacuum cleaner from the wall bracket.
∙ To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not
clean the appliance or the adaptor with
liquids and do not immerse them.
∙ If necessary, the housing may be wiped
with a damp cloth. Wipe dry afterwards.
To empty the dust container
Reduced vacuuming power despite a fully
charged battery pack indicates that the dust
container and fi lter inlay must be emptied.
∙ Hold the vacuum cleaner with the dust
container facing downwards.
∙ Push the release button, open the dust
container in a downward and forward
direction, remove the fi lter and empty it.
∙ The fi lter may be cleaned by slightly
tapping it, or by gentle brushing. The
fi lter can be separated from its holder by
simply turning fi lter and holder in opposite
directions and taking the fi lter off.
∙ Should the fi lter be visibly dirty, it should
be thoroughly cleaned with soapy
12
water; make sure to let it dry completely
afterwards. Once dry, replace the fi lter to
its holder and lock it by turning it.
∙ The fi lter holder, dust container and
attachment tools may be cleaned the
same way.
Replacement or disposal of the
rechargeable battery pack
∙ The rechargeable battery pack contained
in this appliance must be removed for
replacement or disposal.
∙ When replacing the battery pack, use only
original battery packs, available from our
online parts shop.
∙ The battery compartment is located on
the underside of the appliance. Open the
compartment by removing the screw in
the cover using a suitable screwdriver,
and then press the lower end of the
locking catch on the connectors. In that
way, both sides of the connection can be
separated by pulling them apart.
∙ When inserting a new battery pack, push
together the two connectors and ensure
that the catch locks over the stop.
∙ Never dispose of old battery packs in
domestic garbage, but only through
the proper public
collection points. This
also applies to the
battery packs of defective
appliances.
