To avoid a fire or other damage by the hot soldering
iron, place the soldering iron in the support or on a
fire-proof base only.
The heated-up soldering iron must only be touched
at the handle. If metal parts of the soldering iron are
touched, there is the danger of burning. After finish-

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal in the plug which is
marked with the letter N or coloured black.
2. The wire which is coloured brown must be
connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter L or coloured red.

3 Setting into Operation

IMPORTANT! To avoid overheating damage, the sol-
dering station must not be operated without soldering
tip.
1) Connect the soldering iron with the soldering sta-
tion. For this plug the 5-pole angle DIN plug of the
soldering iron into the jack (6).
2) Slide the soldering iron support (1) into one of both
slots (2).
3) Connect the soldering station with the mains plug
to a socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
4) To switch on the station, press the toggle switch
(7). The POWER LED (5) and the HEATER LED
(4) light up.
5) Set the desired temperature (150–420°C) with the
rotary control (8). The temperature LEDs (3) show
the heating-up temperature resp. the temperature
of the soldering tip. While heating up, the HEATER
LED is lighting. It expires as soon as the adjusted
temperature will be reached.
The following table may serve for choosing the
suitable soldering temperature:
Melting point of the standard
soldering tin (60 % tin / 40 % lead):
Standard soldering temperature:
Desoldering of a small soldering spot:
Desoldering of a large soldering spot:
6) To switch off the station, press the toggle switch.
4 Replacement of the Soldering Tip
1) Prior to replacing the soldering tip, switch off the
station with the toggle switch (7) and disconnect
the station from the mains. Have the screw sleeve
(9) and soldering tip (10) cool down to room tem-
