General information
These products can be used as (1.3) "guided type fall arrest devices"
and/or as "lanyards and restraint ropes, depending on the length
and markings. Check the markings on the rope for this and observe
the respective sections in this guide. The systems are only allowed to
be used by instructed persons, trained in their use, who are also in the
physical condition to do so. An effective rescue plan must always be
available.
The components of a complete system are never allowed to be used
individually or be replaced by non-certified components. The fall
arrest devices are only allowed to be used with the supplied rope. If
the fall arrest devices are detachable, they must be properly put back
on proper prior to use. The assembly direction is shown on the
devices in these cases. The system should only be used in accordance
with its intended use. The guided-type fall arrest device must always
be attached to a fall arresting eyelet on the harness marked as "A"
(e.g. EN 361). (2.1–2.3). Please check the rope guide and other
things that could damage the rope or the fall arrest device before use
on sharp edges (2.6 + 2.7). Also ensure that all carabiners are firmly
locked (3.4 + 3.5). Please read and ensure you understand all the
instructions provided with the product before use. The lifetime of the
equipment depends on the frequency of use and environmental
conditions.
2.) Usage
Usage in accordance with EN 353-2
Guided-type fall arrest device on flexible anchor line
Flexible anchor lines must be fastened to one of the uppermost
anchoring point. The guided-type fall arrest device independently
moves with the rope during ascents and descents. With horizontal
