INPUT CONNECTION
Both subwoofer amplifier inputs feature a balanced XLR female socket. Input cables must be screened!
If an unbalanced input signal is to be connected using an XLR plug, a wire
bridge must be inserted between PIN 1 and PIN 3. For an unbalanced
signal input, a 6.35mm mono jack plug may also be used.
For the ''turnlock'' connectors, connection must be made as shown, using a
professional connector (type CAS101).
SETUP
Mono Setup
Feed the signal from the mixer to a balanced XLR input socket of the system. Connect the other input socket by
means of the through. Next, use the included loudspeaker cables to connect the satellites to the subwoofer.
CAUTION: The satellite outputs are designed for a nominal impedance of 8 ohms. Under no circumstances may the
impedance dip below this value. Else, the power amplifier may suffer serious damage.
Stereo Setup
Feed the signal from the mixer to the balanced XLR input sockets of the system. Next, use the included loudspeaker
cables to connect the satellites to the subwoofer.
Dual Configuration
The dual configuration consists of two VDSSM1 systems. It can cover a wide area. Connect the systems like you
would connect two standard mono systems.
TRANSPORTATION
To transport the system, simply set the subwoofer on its casters and place the
satellites onto the subwoofer with the acoustic foam grille facing down. Secure the
satellites to the subwoofer with the included locking strap. Protect the system by
applying the dust cover over the complete set.
