4.6 Prevention of siphoning
If the toilet is below or less than 50 cm above the waterline there
is a danger of water siphoning back into the toilet (supply pipe).
An air vent must be fitted at the highest point in the supply pipe
in order to prevent siphoning (see the installation examples).
4.7 Testing
Open the ball valve in the water supply pipe completely so that
there will be a sufficient supply of water for flushing.
The toilet is operated by the two-position switch.
• Press 'ADD WATER' until the water level in the toilet bowl is
about halfway (about 9 sec).
• Throw a few pieces of toilet paper in the toilet bowl and press
'PUMP OUT' (about 6 sec) to pump the toilet empty.
• Press 'ADD WATER' to fill the bottom of the toilet bowl with
water (about 4 sec).
The times given can be used as reference times to check that
the toilet is working properly.
Check that there are no leaks at any of the connections.

5 Use
• Make sure that the ball valve in the water supply pipe is
open.
• Rinsing:
The toilet is operated by the two-position switch.
N.B. There is no automatic rinsing cycle.
1 'ADD WATER': Fill the toilet bowl to about
halfway, see explanation 1).
2 'PUMP OUT': Pump the toilet out, see
explanation 2).
3 'ADD WATER' Fill the bottom of the toilet bowl with water.
N.B.: Pump the toilet empty when there is bad weather!

• After using the toilet shut off the ball valve.
If the toilet has not been used for some time it is advisable to
rinse it with clean water a few times before using it.
The following precautions must be taken during periods of frost
(winter) :
• Shut off the water supply to the toilet.
• Pump the toilet empty. (PUMP OUT')
• Pour about 2 litres anti‑freeze into the toilet pot.
• Drain the pipes.
Anti-freeze is poisonous and must never be drained into the
external water.
Explanation 1)
When the switch (ADD WATER) is pressed, the magnetic valve
is opened to allow water to run into the toilet bowl.
Explanation 2)
When the switch (PUMP OUT) is opened the motor operates the
knives and the pump. Faeces and toilet paper are ground up
and pumped out.
