Preparations for housing type
TRE 0,4-1, TRE 0,6-1 and TRE 1,6-1
TRE 3,3-1, TRE 6,5-1 and TRE 10-1
TR 0,4-1, TR 0,8-1 and TR 2,5-1
TRV 1,0-1, TRV 1,7-1 and TRV 2,5-1
The housing cover [1.7] is lying loose
i
on the housing lower part. Threaded
inserts [1.4] and control knob for the
speed selection switch [1.6] are in the
accessories bag.
Damage to the operating
indicator light
 Raise the housing cover
CAUTION
gently, carefully pull the
operating indicator light [1.1]
out of the holder in the
housing cover, at the white
plastic ring.
 Lay the housing cover to one side.
 Unit type TRE 0,4-1, TRE 0,6-1,
TRE 1,6-1, TR.. and TRV..:
Insert the cable screw-connections in the
prepared holes in the housing lower part
and screw them tight with a locking nut.
 Unit type TRE 3,3-1, TRE 6,5-1 and
TRE 10-1:
Insert the cable grommets in the prepared
holes in the housing lower part. Pierce a
circular hole in the cable grommets. Select
a hole diameter such that cables are held
snugly by the cable grommets.
Preparations for housing type
TR 6,6, TRV 5,0 and TRV 11,0
 Open the housing door [2.6] with the
housing key [2.7].
 Insert the cable screw-connections in the
prepared holes in the housing lower part
and screw them tight with a locking nut.

7. Installation
DANGER
CAUTION
Installation of the housing lower part
 Screw the housing lower part to the
wall/bracket at the installation location.
Electrical connection
DANGER
CAUTION
 : 
 Carry out the electrical connections to the
connecting terminal. Please refer to the
wiring diagram in the transformer or page
21 to 23 of these assembly instructions.
Danger of injury caused by
inadequate mounting of the
5-step transformer.
 Only install vertically on walls
or brackets with sufficient
load-bearing capacity.
 Sufficiently dimensioned
mounting material is to be
supplied by the customer.
Degree of protection is not
guaranteed if the unit is
incorrectly fixed.
 Always fix the unit using four
fixing screws through the
prepared housing holes.
Danger to life from electric
shock
 Switch the mains fuse off.
 Position a visible warning
notice to avoid the unit being
accidentally switched back on.
Danger of short-circuits
caused by damp, if the cables
are not inserted in the housing
correctly.
 Feed the cables correctly
through the cable grommets or
cable screw connections. In
the case of cable screw
connections, make sure the
connection is tight.
