6.3.1 Dimming via DMX (display: "L...")
In this operating mode the output voltage of the DP1-
DMX can be controlled per DMX control unit in
255 steps from 0 to 100 %.
If a certain brightness for the connected lamp is not
to be exceeded, it is possible to adjust an upper light
limitation from 30 % to 100 % with the buttons
(8). Then this upper light limit corresponds to the
maximum DMX value 255.
6.3.2 Manual dimming (display: "P...")
In this operating mode the output voltage of the DP-
1DMX can be adjusted from 0 to 100 % with the but-
tons (7) and (8). A received DMX signal is ignored
in this operating mode.
6.4 Switch operation
The DP-1DMX can be operated as a switch in case of
lamps which cannot be dimmed. This can be made via
the DMX signal or manually.
Press the button MENU (6) so many times until the
display (5) shows "S-oF" or "S-on".
If the selection of these operating modes is not pos-
sible, the DP-1DMX must first be switched over from
dimmer operation to switch operation:
1) Press the button MENU so many times until the dis-
play shows "d---".
2) Press the button (8); the display shows "S---".
3) Press the button MENU; the display shows "S-oF"
or "S-on".
6.4.1 Switching via DMX (display: "S-oF")
If the display shows "S-on", switch to "S-oF" with the
button (8).
In this operating mode the output of the DP-1DMX
can externally be switched on and off with a DMX con-
trol unit. DMX values ≥ 102 (40 %) switch the output
on, all values below switch the output off.

6.4.2 Manual switching
If the display shows "S-oF" or "S-on", the output can
manually be switched on with the button
