Emptying the Dust Container
To ensure good performance of the
device, the dust container should be
emptied and the fi lter should be cleaned
after every use.
1. Take the cover (4) off the device.
2. Pull the dust container out of the
device (Picture B).
3. Hold the dust container over an open
dustbin, fl ip open the lid and take
out the fi lter and empty out the dust
container.
4. Tap out the fi lter and clean it with a
soft brush if necessary. If there is more
intense soiling, rinse it with warm wa-
ter and then allow it to dry thoroughly.
5. The dust container can be rinsed
with clear water if necessary. Let it
dry completely in the air before you
reassemble it.
6. After cleaning insert the fi lter into the
dust container and then insert this
back into the device.
Cleaning the
Brushes
1. Turn over the device.
2. Remove all dust and hair from the
wheels (7 and 13) and side brushes (6).
For thorough cleaning, the side brush-
es can be pulled off.
Cleaning the Housing
• To ensure the device works as well as
possible, keep all sensors (8) clean
and wipe them regularly with a dry,
soft cloth.
• If necessary, wipe down the housing
of the device with a dry cloth.
Washing the Floor Cloth
• Remove the fl oor cloth from the fl oor
cloth holder (10) (Picture C) and wash
it as indicated on the washing label
(or see the "Symbols" chapter). Do

not use fabric softener. Allow it to dry
in the air.
Storage
• If the device is not going to be used
for a prolonged period, take the
battery out of the device (see the
"Inserting / Removing the Battery"
chapter).
• Store the device and accessories in
a cool, dry place which is protected
from direct sunlight and is out of the
reach of small children and animals.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the device does not work properly,
check whether you are able to rectify the
problem yourself. If the problem cannot
be solved with the steps below, contact
the customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair an elec-
trical device yourself!
The device works only slowly or
does not start./ The charge control
lamp (3) fl ashes.
The battery is empty.

Charge up the battery.
Low suction force.
The battery is weak.
►
Charge up the battery.
The dust container is too full.
►
Empty the dust container.
The fi lter is dirty.
►
Clean the filter.
The suction opening (9) is blocked.
►
Switch off the device and remove the
blockage.
Particles which are too large or heavy may
stick to a fi tted carpet.
►
Remove these foreign objects by
hand.
