FILTER REPLACEMENT
READY FILTERS FOR USE (
Continued from pg. 11)
IF USING MUNICIPAL WATER:
• Place tube leading from Post Carbon Filter (filter 4) into
a half-gallon container (or larger) (AA).
• Open Municipal Water ball valve #1 (BB) See
illustration on pg 5 for open and closed positions.
• Drain water into container until it becomes clear.

• Shut Municipal Water ball valve #1 and wait for the
water to stop draining from the tube. Remove tube
from container and discard the water.
• Reconnect tube to reservoir quick connect until fully
seated. (CC)
• Open Municipal Water ball valve #1.
• Replace top and filter covers.
Ball Valve #2 closed

• Plug in unit. Turn on heater.
• Resume use.

CLEANING SYSTEM

NOTE: Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
Annual cleaning and disinfecting is required to prevent
contaminants from forming inside the system.
Contact your TriStar location to purchase a cleaning kit.
Always follow the directions on the cleaning kit package.

REMPLACEMENT DU FILTRE
FILTRES PRÊTS À UTILISER (PAGE 11, SUITE...)
SI VOUS UTILISEZ L'EAU MUNICIPALE:
• Placer le tube qui mène à l'après filtre en charbon
(filtre 4) dans un récipient demi-gallon (ou plus) (AA).
• Ouvrir le robinet à bille # 1 pour l'eau de municipalité
(BB) Voir l'illustration à la page 5 pour les positions
ouvertes et fermées.
• Videz l'eau dans un récipient jusqu'à ce qu'elle
devienne claire.
• Fermer le robinet à bille #1 de l'eau municipale et
attendre que le drainage du tube arrête. Retirer le
tube du contenant et jeter l'eau.
• Rebrancher le tube au réservoir à la connexion rapide
jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit bien assise. (CC)

• Ouvrir le robinet à bille #1 de l'eau municipale.

• Remplacer les dessus et les couvercles de filtres.
• Branchez l'unité. Allumer le réchaud.
• Remettre en marche.
NETTOYAGE DU SYSTÈME
Resevoir / Réservoir
REMARQUE: Toujours débrancher l'appareil avant de
le nettoyer.
Il faut nettoyer et désinfecter annuellement l'appareil
pour empêcher la contamination de se former à
l'intérieur du système.
Communiquez avec votre distributeur TriStar à votre lieu
d'achat. Suivre toujours les recommandations inscrites
sur l'emballage de la trousse de nettoyage.

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM

UNIT NOT OPERATING
• Power source not plugged in
• Front door ajar
• Blown fuse
• Unit placed close to a stove, heater or other
heat source
WATER IS NOT COOLING
• Unit placed close to a wall
• Room temperature is too high
• Cold water indicator lit on the front panel
• Heater switch set to the "OFF" position
WATER IS NOT HEATING
• Room temperature too low
• Appliance placed on an uneven floor
UNIT IS ABNORMALLY NOISY
• An obstacle at the back of the unit
• Filters clogged
WATER FLOW HAS SLOWED
SIGNIFICANTLY
• Is the water pressure too low
• Connection hoses bent or obstructed in some
way
• Pump not working
• Bottle source empty
• Leak inside unit
• Open front door. Check bottle to ensure is full.
THE UNIT CONTINUES TO BEEP
Check that pick up tube is fully seated.
AFTER REFILLING THE BOTTLE
(IF USING BOTTLED WATER AS
THE SOURCE)
• Filter life expired
WATER HAS STALE ODOR OR TASTE
• Time to clean the unit
• Water sitting too long in reservoir unused.
• Bottle is empty
WATER NOT DISPENSING
• #2 ball valve closed when using bottled water
• #1 ball valve closed when using municipal water
• Main water source valve closed (when using
municipal water)
SOLUTION
• Check that power cord is completely plugged into
outlet and make sure electrical current is present.
• Check the power outlet. Ensure it is a
dedicated power source.
• Close front door
• Fuseneedsreplacing.Contactyourlocationforservice.
• Place the unit away from heat sources.
• Leave space between the back of the unit & a wall.
• Regulate the ambient temperature properly.
• Contact your location for service.
• Set the switch to "ON"
• Regulate the ambient temperature properly.
• Position the unit on a firm and even surface.
• Remove any obstacles.
• Replace current filters
• Filters may be clogged.
• Straighten all hoses and remove obstructions.
• Close the front door completely.
• Check that the pump switch is turned on.
• Refill the bottle (if using bottled water as
source water)
• Contact your location for service.
• Open the front door, wait 30 seconds and close the
front. Wait approximately 10 minutes. If bottle is full,
pump switch is on and the amber light and buzzer
goes off again, contact your location for service.
• Replace appropriate filters
• Clean the reservoir and unit
• Empty the reservoir by dispensing water
through the cold water tap and discard.
• Refill the bottle.
• Open ball valve #2 for bottled water.
• Open ball valve #1 for city water.
• Open the main water source.
