operating instructions and in particular
the safety instructions before using the
product. These instructions should be
retained for reference and passed on to
any other users who make use of the
product.

Safety instructions
•
Keep the product and packaging film
out of reach of babies and small chil-
dren, ingestible small parts and the
packaging film represent a choking
hazard.
•
Do not use the digital household ther-
mometer to determine body tempera-
ture. It is not approved for use as a
medical device, and the tip of the sen-
sor presents a risk of injury.
•
Handle the thermometer carefully and
never store it upright with the tip facing
upwards. To prevent injury, always re-
place the protective cap after use.
•
Never use the thermometer in a
closed oven!
The electronics and the batteries in
the handle are not designed for use
at these temperatures.
•
This appliance is not intended for use
by persons (including children) who
are physically or mentally handi-
capped or have sensory disabilities,
nor is it to be used by persons without
sufficient experience and/or know-
ledge, unless these persons are super-
vised by persons responsible for their
safety or unless they have been
instructed how to use the appliance.

Children should be supervised in order
to ensure that they do not play with the
device.
•

Start-up / operating instructions
1.
Remove the protective cap and clean
the sensor before first use.
2.
The thermometer is switched on and
off by pressing the red button. If the
thermometer is not used for 15 min-
utes it will switch off automatically.
3.
To
display
Fahrenheit, switch the thermometer
off and open the battery compartment
on the rear side. The switch may be
used to select °C or °F. Finally, reclose
the battery compartment.
