Immerse or insert the temperature sen-
sor at least 2 cm into the substance
being measured. Ensure that you do
not touch the base of the receptacle,
as this will distort the measurement
result. Tip: measure the temperature in
the middle of the substance to be mea-
sured.

After a few seconds a signal tone will
sound and the accurate measurement
result will be shown on the LCD dis-
play.

Press the red knob once more to
switch the thermometer off. The unit
of measurement selected will remain
once the device has been switched
off. If no buttons are pressed for 15
minutes, the thermometer will switch
off automatically.
7.
After use, clean the temperature sen-
sor thoroughly and replace the protec-
tive cap.

Caution: never immerse the digital
household thermometer in water and
never clean it in a dishwasher!
Clean the measuring sensor after use
with a damp cloth and some detergent if
required.
Clean the casing with a damp cloth and
then wipe it dry. Ensure that no water
gets into the inside of the casing.
Changing the batteries
When the LCD display becomes faint,
the batteries need to be replaced.

Open the battery compartment on the
rear side of the thermometer.

Remove the used batteries and dis-
pose of them in an environmentally-
friendly manner.
