1. General Information
Please ensure that the user of this device has read this manual thoroughly before first
use and understands it.
* This manual contains important information which is required for the safe and smooth
operation of your battery-starter.
* Correct use of the battery-starter includes full compliance with all safety instructions and
information in this manual.
* Therefore, please keep this operating manual with your battery-starter.
* This tool has been developed for specific applications. FÖRCH explicitly states that this tool
may not be modified and / or used in a way that does not meet its intended purpose.
* For injuries and damages resulting from inappropriate use or when used other than intended
respectively breach of safety instruction, FÖRCH GmbH & Co. KG does not take any
responsibility or warranty.
* In addition, the rules of the safety regulations valid for the range of application of this device,
have to be respected.
Safety
1. Responsibility of the operator
This device has been constructed at the time of its design and manufacturing according
to the codes of practice valid at that time and is safe to operate. However, it may be
dangerous if the device is used by not professionally trained personnel, in an incorrect
way or not according to the intended use. Any person who is authorized to work on or with the
equipment, must therefore have read and understood the operating manual before starting
work.
* Please keep the operating manual always close to the equipment.
* Changes of any kind, as well as attachments or modifications are forbidden.
* All safety, warning and operating instructions have to be maintained in readable condition.
Damaged labels or stickers must be immediately replaced.
* Specified settings and setting areas have to be absolutely kept.
* Use only the accessories recommended by the manufacturer in order to avoid damages and
injuries.
* Only charge the battery-starter with the original charger. In case this charger is damaged, it
must be replaced immediately.
* Never use the battery-starter in potentially explosive areas and / or near flammable
substances such as petrol, gas, etc..
* Do not store the battery-starter for longer periods in discharged state to avoid damages.
* If not in use, always connect the device to the supplied automatic charger.
2. Intended use
Operational safety is only ensured when used according to the intended use and the
specifications in the operating manual. In addition to the work safety notes in this
operating manual, the generally valid safety, accident prevention and environmental
protection regulations applying to the field of application of this device have to be respected
and kept.
The use and maintenance of tools must always be done in accordance with local government,
state or federal regulations.
* Only operate the device in technically perfect and reliable condition.
* The safety devices must always be easily accessible and they have to be controlled regularly.
* Avoid short circuits. Terminals should not get into contact.
* Only pull the plugs, never pull the cables.
* Attach the cable for storage and transport to the holding device at the housing.
* Transporting the battery-starter must be done by using the telescopic handle or the handle
designated for this purpose.
* Any use beyond the intended use and / or other use is prohibited and is considered as
incorrect.
* Any kind of claims against the manufacturer and / or his authorized representative for
damages resulting from improper / incorrect use of the device shall be excluded.
* For all damages resulting from improper / incorrect use the operator is solely liable.
