1. Foreword

These operating instructions must be read carefully by
every user prior to initial commissioning. They will help
you to become familiar with the product and to make
full and correct use of it. The operating instructions
contain important notes on how to operate the product
safely, correctly and profitably. Observing them helps to
avoid dangers, to minimize repair costs and down-time,
and to increase the reliability and life expectancy of the
product. These operating instructions must always be
available at the place where the product is used.
As well as the operating instructions and the accident
prevention regulations applicable in the country of use
and at the place of installation, accepted rules for
working safely and correctly must also be observed.

2. Intended use

• The device is suitable for the following beams:
I-beam
T beam
• The device is intended for moving suspended loads
up to the stated capacity.
• The working load limit (WLL) stated on the device is
the maximum load, and must not be exceeded.
• Entering the area under a suspended load is not
permitted (Fig. 1).
• Loads must not be left in a raised position over a long
period or without supervision.
• The user must only initiate movement of the load after
he has first convinced himself that the load is properly
attached and that there is nobody in the hazardous
area.
• After the running gear width is set, the eye of the
cross bar (Fig. 5) must be as shown relative to the
beam. Now the support hook of a hoist can be
inserted into the eye. The weight of the hoist will
automatically retain the adjustment of the running
gear.
• When suspending the device, the user must ensure
that the device can be operated in such a way that the
user is not at risk from the device itself, from the
means of support or from the load.
• In the case of running gear without reel drive,
an attached load must be pushed. It must not be
pulled.
• The equipment can operate at an environmental
temperature between –10 °C and +50 °C. If
conditions are extreme, the manufacturer must be
consulted.
• It is essential that the accident prevention and safety
regulations for manually operated lifting gear
applicable in the country or region where the device is
employed are observed.
• The device must immediately be taken out of
operation if it malfunctions.
• Selection and dimensioning of the appropriate
support structure is the duty of the operating
company.
• The gradient of the track must not exceed 3 %.
