Danger of burns from inappropriate use!
■
Be careful when handling the hot pressure cooker or hot lid. Only ever hold it by
the handle. Never leave it unattended in the vicinity of children or animals!
■
In the pressure cooker, food is prepared under pressure. Incorrect use may lead
to burns. Before you start cooking, make sure that the pressure cooker is correctly
sealed shut.
■
Never open the pressure cooker forcibly. Before you open it, always make sure
that the internal pressure has completely subsided.
■
A pressurised pressure cooker may only be transported if precautionary meas-
ures are followed:
– Never touch the hot areas of the pressure cooker. Only touch the handles. Use
oven gloves if necessary.
– Never lift up the pressure cooker by the lid fastener.
– Always hold the pressure cooker horizontally and place it down carefully. Do not
push, pull, knock or throw it!
■
When cooking meat with skin on it (e.g. a tongue of veal or chicken), the pressure

■
If you are cooking pasty food, then shake the pressure cooker gently to prevent the
food from splashing out before you open the lid.
