• Tracking Cables
o Place the switch to the TONE position.
o Connect the test leads to the pair or connect the red test lead to the pair and the black test lead
to the ground.
o Move the receiver close to and along the pair to track the cable.
• Testing a Telephone Line
o The transmitter features a plug allowing you to test a telephone connection. The measuring
principle is the same provided that you disconnect the connection from the telephone line.
