8. EXTERNAL AIR INTAKE

For a good operation of the appliance, it is essential that a sufficient quantity of air for the combustion and the re-
oxygenation of the room is introduced the installation room itself. This means that, through proper openings
communicating with outside, the air for combustion must circulate also with closed doors and windows.
The air intake must be positioned so that it cannot be obstructed.
Be communicating with the installation room of the appliance and be protected by grating.
Minimum surface must not be lower than 113 cm
Should the inflow of air be obtained by openings communicating with outside of nearby rooms, it is
necessary to avoid air intakes in connection with garages, kitchens, bathrooms, thermal units (see
Picture 15).
If in the local of installation there are inspiration hoods, these can not work at the same time, as the
contemporary use of them could cause the smoke exit in the room, even if the door is closed.
