ADJUSTING BASS LEVEL

Because finding the best location for speakers is not always an easy task, for aesthetical or technical
reasons, some of the HD speakers are packed with a specific plug to adjust the level of pressure of the
bass frequencies.
This solution can reduce the level of bass without deteriorating the quality of
sound, limiting thus, the problem of integration into difficult rooms. The
plug is a foam cylinder specially designed to be put in the vent or vents on
the rear of the speaker. It is very easy to use. Its need can depend on the
size of your listening room:
• If your room is larger than 40m , put your speakers at least one meter
away from the side and back walls. Do not use the plugs.
• If your room size is between 25 m and 40 m , put your speakers at least one meter away from the back
wall. Use only one plug in the speaker located closest to the a side wall.
• If your room is smaller than 25 m , put the plugs in both speakers.
Speakers with more than one vent will allow you to adapt more precisely the speakers to your room. You
can use up to 4 cylinders.
These recommendations are just general advices. The choice of using the plugs will also depend on the
general acoustic conditions in the room. For more information on that matter, please contact a technician

repartition of the energy getting to
