9 Maintenance and inspection
The user is obliged to maintain and service the cutting device in compliance with
the specifications in the operating manual and according to the country-specific
standards and regulations.
The maintenance intervals are classified according to the recommended sched-
ule:
Before every use...

... visually inspect the cutting device and the knife in particular for damage.

... clean support surface.

... clean blade guard and ensure it is working properly. If damaged, stop using
the device and have it repaired.
Weekly...

... make sure operating lever and blade guard are working properly.

... clean support surface and blade guard with compressed air.
Monthly...

... check the markings and labelling for legibility and damage and replace them
if necessary.

... slightly lubricate the knife to protect it against corrosion by means of a brush
and anti-corrosion oil.

... verify whether the knife blade is still sharp and replace the knife if necessary.

Only use genuine Rittal spare parts. Please find a thorough spare
part list at the end of these operating instructions.

Disposal

The wiring duct cutter MC 125 is to be disposed of or recycled in accordance
with the country-specific regulations.
