OPERATION

POWER ON / OFF
• Avoid contact with the scanner during measuring process.
• Press on/off button (3) to switch instrument on. Press button (3) again to switch unit off. The instru-
ment has an automatic power off function and after a period without use the instrument will automa-
tically switch off.
CHECK OF INSTRUMENT
• Avoid contact with the scanner during measuring process. Press button MEAS and hold the instru-
ment in the air. The value indicated must be between -005 and 005.
FUNCTIONS
• Press MEAS button (6) and the instrument will start measuring. Carefully scan the surface to be
measured. Hold the scanner in a 90° angle to get an optimum measuring result. Release MEAS
button; HOLD will be displayed. The measured value will be held.
Note: If there is any metal in the material to be measured the instru-ment will show a value that is
too high.
• Press Max/Min button (7) once shortly to display the maximum value; press Max/Min button twice
shortly to display minimum value. Press key long to leave this mode.
• Switch on backlight with button (4). Press button again to switch off backlight.
