3. Carbon brushes
In the case of excessive sparking have the brushes checked
by a qualified service engineer, or at an authorised service
centre.
4. Servicing
There are no parts inside the machine which require any
additional maintenance.
5. The Brush Ring
A brush ring surrounds the abrasive pad. This ring serves
two purposes:
(1) It extends below the surface of the abrasive pad so that it
contacts the work surface first, preventing the abrasive disk
from 'gouging' the surface to be sanded.
(2) It helps contain the drywall dust until the dust extraction
unit or vacuum cleaner sucks it away.
6. To change the Brush Ring (Fig 9 & 10)
Loosen the six fixing screws with a suitable screwdriver and
carefully ease the brush ring away using the screwdriver as
a lever if required.
Install a new brush ring using the six fixing screws. Ensure
that the brush ring is seated correctly.
Disposal and Recycling
Recycle all unwanted materials instead of disposing of them
as waste. All tools, hoses and packaging should be sorted
and taken to an approved recycling centre and disposed of in
an environmentally safe way.
