Maintenance and cleaning

Dirt and particles from abrasion have a negative influence on the function of the tool. Insert
slit between base plate and rockers as well as the jaw units are to be cleaned by means of
compressed air regularly. Then the jaw units should be treated with common spraying oil.
The transport wheel has to be cleaned weekly with a wire brush to take away wax and
lacquer particles as well as swarfs.
Worn out wheels have to be replaced. In order to be favoured with the advantages of the "no-
seal-joint" for a long time it is recommended to check up regularly the cutting edges of the
jaw units with regard to their wearing.
Tool inspection!
Perform a daily visual inspection of the outside of the unit. The early detection of damaged
parts extends the life of the unit. Replace all damaged parts immediately with Original
TITAN spare parts.
After prolonged standstill that vanes can get stuck in the rotor of the compressed air motor.
This causes a performance drop or the motor will not start up. It is recommended to some
spraying oil, like Ballistol, into the air intake (N) of the motor. Likewise, the tool itself has to
be provided with some squirts of light lube oil.
For proper operation of TITAN pneumatic tools a maintenance unit (separator, lubricator,
pressure regulator) is to be installed in the air supply line with a minimum Ø 9mm clear span.
The maintenance unit should be mounted near the tool (not more than 5 metres away from
it).

Do not use any solvent containing cleaning agents for
reasons of health.
Attention!
In no case it is allowed to run the tool without oil being in the
lubricator of the maintenance unit, as this would immediately destroy
the compressed air motor (oil supply min 3 drops/min).
