repairs of the product Do not attempt to make repairs
yourself!

Children or unauthorised persons are forbidden from
entering a work station.
e)
If possible, secure the doors (other than emergency
fire exits) and windows within the work area.
f)
Do not obstruct exits, entrances and doors with the
ladder.
g)
When placing the ladder it is necessary to consider
the risk of collision, e.g. on part of the passers-by,
vehicles or doors.

2.2. PERSONAL SAFETY

a)
Do not use the device when tired, ill or under the
influence of alcohol, narcotics or medication which
can significantly impair the ability to operate the
device.
b)
The device can be handled only by physically fit
persons who are capable of handling it, properly
trained, familiar with this manual and trained within
the scope of occupational health and safety.
c)
The device is not designed to be handled by persons
(including children) with limited mental and sensory
functions or persons lacking relevant experience and/
or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person
responsible for their safety or they have received
instructions on how to operate the device.
d)
When working with the device, use common sense
and stay alert. Temporary loss of concentration whilst
using the device may lead to serious injuries.
e)
Use personal protection equipment as required for
working with the device, specified in section 1 (Legend).
The use of correct, approved personal protection
equipment reduces the risk of suffering an injury.
f)
Do not overestimate your abilities. When using the
device keep your balance and remain stable at all
times. This will ensure better control over the device
in unexpected situations.
g)
The placement of the ladder can be changed only
when its user is standing at its base. It is forbidden to
change the ladder position when standing at height
by holding it by the upper part of its frame.
h)
It is necessary to check for any electrical hazards
within the work area, such as aerial power lines or
other electric devices.
i)
It is not recommended to remain on the ladder for
extended periods – regular breaks should be taken at
work (tiredness contributes to hazard).
j)
It is forbidden to wear inappropriate footwear while
working on the ladder.
2.3. SAFE DEVICE USE
a)
Maintain the device in a good technical state. Before
each use check for general damage and especially
check for cracked parts or elements and for any other
conditions which may impact the safe operation of
the device. If damage is discovered, hand over the
device for repair before use.
b)
Clean the device regularly to avoid a durable
encrustation of dirt.
c)
The load carried when walking onto the ladder should
be light and easy to handle.
d)
The ladder should not be used during strong wind
and other unfavourable weather conditions.
e)
It is forbidden to exceed the maximum load capacity
of the ladder.

f)
It is advised against standing under or passing under
the ladder while it is used.
g)
When working on the ladder, the user should be
located between the side members and stand with
both feet on one rung. It is forbidden to lean while
standing on the ladder.
h)
When working on the ladder, one should not use any
tools that may constitute hazard.
i)
A combination of multiple ladders should not be used
in order to increase height.
j)
The ladders are intended for performance of light and
short-term works only.
k)
When working on electric devices, only ladders that
do not conduct electricity should be used.
l)
It is forbidden for children to play on the ladder.
m)
It is necessary to hold the ladder tight while walking
onto it and off it.
n)
It is necessary to avoid excess side load, e.g. when
drilling holes in bricks or concrete.
o)
The tools used while working on the ladder have to be
light and convenient to use.
p)
When working on the ladder it is necessary to hold it
or, if possible, apply other safety measures.
q)
If the ladder is transported on a cart or in a truck, it is
necessary to make sure whether it is placed properly
in order to prevent damage to it.
r)
Prior to the first use it is necessary to check whether
the ladder is undamaged and evaluate the functioning
of each of its elements.
s)
It is necessary to make sure that the ladder is
appropriate for the use intended.
t)
It is necessary to remove any soiling from the ladder,
e.g. fresh paint, mud, oil or snow.
u)
Prior to using the ladder at the work area it is
necessary to perform a risk assessment compliant with
regulations valid at the user's country.
v)
The ladder has to stand on all its feet, not on rungs or
steps.
w)
It is forbidden to place the ladder on a slippery ground
(such as ice, shiny surfaces or hard and very soiled
surfaces) unless appropriate measures are applied in
order to prevent the ladder from slipping or to clean
the soiled surfaces sufficiently.
x)
The surface on which the ladder is placed has to be
horizontal and even.
y)
The ladder should be placed in a correct position, fully
unfolded and locked.
z)
It is forbidden to walk onto and off the ladder with
one's back to the ladder rungs.
aa)
It is forbidden to use the ladder as a catwalk.
bb)
The length of the ladder should be adjusted to the
work performed.
cc)
It is forbidden to walk off the ladder in order to reach
another location at height while not being equipped
with additional safety measures, such as a system of
ropes or special stabilising devices.
dd)
Prior to every use of the ladder it is necessary to
inspect it visually for damage and check whether it is
fit for safe use.
ee)
It is forbidden to use the ladder when damaged.
ff)
Prior to using the ladder it is necessary to make sure
that the devices protecting against unfolding are
locked.
gg)
It is forbidden to interfere with the structure of
the device in order to change its parameters or
construction.

hh)
In case of extendable ladders the length of which
exceeds 3000 mm after retraction, the parts of such
ladder may not be used separately.
ATTENTION! Despite the safe design of the device
and its protective features, and despite the use of
additional elements protecting the operator, there is
still a slight risk of accident or injury when using the
device. Stay alert and use common sense when using
the device.
3. USE GUIDELINES
The devices is intended for entering minor heights for a brief
period while performing light works.
The user is liable for any damage resulting from
unintended use of the device.

3.2. PREPARING FOR USE

Prior to the first use it is required to install the feet stabilisers:
1.
Remove the securing caps at the ladder ends.
2.
Insert the stabiliser where the caps were located in
order for the ladder openings to match the stabiliser
openings. Secure the connection by using the bolts
and nuts included.
3.
Do not use the ladder without the stabilisers installed,
unless the manual provides for such a situation.
4.
Prior to using the ladder, make sure that the stabilisers
are fixed correctly and firmly.
5.
Use only the stabilisers supplied with the ladder.
Prior to using the ladder:
1.
Check whether the side members / feet are not
deflected, bent, twisted, dented, cracked, corroded or
decayed.
2.
Check whether the side members / feet are in good
condition around the points of fixation to other
elements .
3.
Check whether the fixing elements (standard rivets,
bolts or nuts) are not missing, loose or corroded.
4.
Check whether no rungs / steps are missing and
whether they are not loose, excessively worn,
corroded or damaged.
5.
Check whether the hinges between the front and rear
part are not damaged, loose or corroded.
6.
Make sure that the lock remains horizontal and that
the rear railings and corners are not missing, bent,
loose, corroded or damaged.
7.
Check whether no rung hooks are missing, damaged,
loose or corroded and whether they couple properly
on the rungs.
8.
Make sure that the legs / ladder end caps are
not missing, loose, excessively worn, corroded or
damaged.
9.
Make sure that the whole ladder is free from any
soiling (e.g. dirt, mud, oil or lubricant).
Ladder deployment:
Spread the side members until the platform rests
against the lock.
Place the ladder.
The ladder is ready to be used.

3.3. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

a)
Use cleaners without corrosive substances to clean
each surface.
b)
After cleaning the device, all parts should be dried
before reusing it.
