The D37N current clamp is designed for the measurement of AC current without breaking the
circuit or switching off the installation.
In particular they will be used on low and medium power installations that have a current of
less than 3000A.
It is a clamp with a voltage output on three ranges :
30A / 3VAC
300A / 3VAC
3000A / 3VAC
This clamp can withstand an overload of 20% on earth range (for a duration of less than 4
minutes on the 3000A / 3VAC).
The output is through two femal ∅ 4 mm safety sockets marked S1 and S2 (S1 being the red
socket).
The shape of jaws of this type of clamp makes it easy to clamp around busbars carrying the
current to be measured. With a max. opening capacity of 90mm, the clamp can be enclosed
around a 64mm diameter cable and different sets of busbars (5 busbars 125 x 5mm or 3
busbars 100 x 10mm, the busbars being spaced by their thickness).
This clamp can be used combined with a multimeter, recorder, wattmeter, energy analyser
or any other receiver that has an AC voltage measurement input and the appropriate range
(3V).
