Cause
Red charging indicator 3 is blinking.
Charging process cannot be performed!
Battery not (properly)
placed
Battery contact dirty
Battery defective
Battery charging indicators 2 or 3 do not light up!
Charger power plug not
(properly) plugged in
Outlet, power cable or
charger defective

Work instructions

If the charger is used for continuous or multiple, consecutive
charging cycles without interruption, the charger may
heat up. This is, however, harmless and does not indicate a
technical defect in the charger.
A significantly reduced operating time after charging indi-
cates that the battery is used up and has to be replaced.

Remedy
Correctly place the battery on
the charger
Clean the battery contacts;
e.g. by plugging the battery in
and out several times, replace
batter if necessary
Replace battery
Plug the power plug
(completely) into the outlet
Check the mains voltage, if
necessary, have the charger
inspected by an authorized
customer service agent
